DESCRIPTION:
- Lead a team of Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT), assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of work during the shift
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to AMTs in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of aircraft systems and components
- Perform inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft and aircraft components
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and effectively, in accordance with the manufacturers specifications and FAA regulations
- Ensure all records of work performed are accurate and complete
- Communicate effectively within their team and with other departments to ensure smooth maintenance operations
- Train and mentor junior technicians to improve their skills and knowledge of aircraft maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Aviation Maintenance Technician
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Will be frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Will be occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
