What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Access Planner position at Flexjet?
The GLOBAL TRIP PLANNING Global Access Planner will be responsible for support to Flexjet US & Flexjet Europe while maintaining a high attention to detail, focus, and adaptability to our dynamic flight schedule.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- United States based role supporting our European & US operations.
- Flight Following Flexjet Europes fleet
- Submit and manage applications for airport slots and PPRs (prior permissions requests), landing, parking requests. and overflight permits when required for all flights.
- Submit and manage requests for ground handling services, fuel, and other ground related arrangements (special services) for all flights as required.
- Provide external agents with all applicable aircraft/crew documents required for trip planning.
- In cooperation with the EU Ops team, monitoring changes such as CTOTs, Airport slots, diversions and re-route or re-plan as necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Communicate with pilots, air traffic control, ground services, and other relevant parties to relay important information and coordinate activities.
- Work closely with scheduling, crew, maintenance teams, and ground services, to coordinate all aspects of a flight.
- This involves ensuring that all necessary resources are in place and that any potential issues or delays are addressed promptly.
- Interact with Owner Services to provide information about flight status, delays, or any other relevant details.
- In the event of unexpected issues or emergencies, initiating and coordinating appropriate emergency responses.
- Such as launching an ERP, rerouting flights, addressing maintenance or crew issues.
- Responsible for activating Operational Procedures.
- For example, Emergency Response Plans, Flight Watch and Overdue Aircraft Programs where applicable. These procedures form part of the Companys Safety and Quality Management Manual
- Report non-compliance observations for any potential safety, security, or quality issues.
- Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and economy of operations
- Ensure an efficient and timely communication on all international flight details.
- Ensure all relevant teams are notified of any unforeseen situation and/or changes in international flights that may affect the flight activity.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Dispatch License not required, but is a plus
- Flight planning and operational experience, ideally gained within a Business Aviation environment is preferred, but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with core job competencies including, but not limited to, international operations, Customs/immigration requirements, airport access coordination (landing permissions, slots, PPRs, etc.), handling services, weather trends, and ATC flow is preferred.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to self-motivate, handle multiple tasks, meet established targets.
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
SCHEDULE
- Front/half back half schedules available
- Early Morning to evening shifts
- Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
