Job Title: Risk Operations BSA

Overview:
The Risk Operations BSA will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, fraud prevention, and overall success of our financial products. This position requires collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to analyze risk factors, implement underwriting strategies, and enforce effective risk management practices in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive administration of Risk Policies and Strategies through by continuous change management, automation and technological improvement.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to incorporate risk management requirements in new product designs and updates to existing products.
- Test and monitor decision policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they align with original risk management objectives.
- Become a subject matter expert in Risk Technologies used internally and within the industry, such as Decision Engine technologies, Leads Waterfalls, Acct Mng, Reporting, etc.
- Generate tickets and reports to communicate findings, key performance indicators, and actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations, compliance) to drive alignment and execution of risk management initiatives.
- Stay up to date on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory developments in fintech and e-commerce to proactively address evolving risks.
- Lead project timelines, manage vendor relationships, ensure adherence to company SOPs, and provide basic reporting on risk management activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, business administration, risk management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, CRM) preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software tools, including the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and Excel.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as KYC/AML, AVS, FICO, and PSD2.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in risk analysis, underwriting, or related roles within fintech, e-commerce, or financial services.
- Proven experience in creating end-to-end user journeys and process flows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with risk engineering and quantitative analysis.
