This is a FlexSteel Pipe position and is located in Baytown, TX. 

*This role will have the option to also office at our Houston, TX office on a as needed basis. 

*HR experience in a Manufacturing setting preferred.

  • This role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and work closely with associates, managers, HR team and Corporate in supporting an assigned Branch. This role is also responsible for recruiting talent across all FlexSteel Manufacturing departments. This position will collaborate with all members of the HR Team and hiring managers to target, identify, source, and hire the best talent for our organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting Duties:

  • Conducts weekly meetings with hiring managers and HR Team on open positions.
  • Manages all aspects of the recruitment process, including requisitions and employment offers.
  • Assist the Onboarding team with the pre-employment process for pending hires.
  • Tracks metrics and analyzes trends in recruiting across all FlexSteel.
  • Participate with HR Team in recruitment process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures recruitment workflow within application tracking system is running optimally.
  • Review resumes daily to evaluate and assess candidate’s qualifications alignment with job descriptions & department goals to make initial determination of candidate selection.
  • Conduct phone screens virtual interviews, and in-person interviews.
  • Coordinate with the Recruiting Manager to participate in local job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accurate job postings.
  • Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies, job posting and recruiting advertisement.
  • Utilize Recruiting Spreadsheets to keep track of candidate in the pipeline and the pre-employment process.

HR Duties:

  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and company information, adhering to all privacy regulations, and company policies, at all times.
  • Assist HR in introducing benefits to all applicants.
  • Assist HR with new hire orientation.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources on employee outreach programs & company branding.
  • Responsible for company branding events at Company Manufacturing Plant, including coordinating with the Sales Department for Customer Events at the Manufacturing Plant.
  • Other duties as needed to successfully perform this role.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated accomplishment in fast-paced, high volume recruiting organizations.
  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM Cert or other HR certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management preferred.
  • Experience with UKG preferred.
  • Proficient in using ATS systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • High degree of honest and integrity.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Travel is generally no more than 25% of the time domestically.
