Flexsys has an immediate opening for a PhD analytical chemist in the Akron corporate headquarters. This position will support our business and innovation platforms providing synthetic expertise and productivity. The ideal candidate will have broad and extensive laboratory experience in multiple analytical techniques. This role will report to a Technology group leader.
Job Responsibilities
- Analytical lead on innovation projects
- Employ the latest analytical technology and sound analytical principles to solve major technical problems
- Make data driven decisions to ensure project success
- Evaluate and develop new laboratory capabilities and lead efforts to implement them
- Collaborate with other scientists and technicians to provide key analytical data for new products and process development
- Utilize multiple analytical techniques for the characterization and performance evaluation of novel organic molecules
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
- Review and write test methods and technical reports
Requirements
Qualifications :
Required
o Proven experience in analytical chemistry and new method development
o Working knowledge of a broad range of analytical techniques
o Expertise in characterization of organic molecules
o Clear and effective writing and oral communication skills
o Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment

o Proficiency in chromatography and spectroscopy
o Knowledge in instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
o Experience in statistics and laboratory automation
