As an IPC Certified Solder Technician at FlexTech Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our soldered connections in our products. You will collaborate with our engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and implement soldering processes that meet or exceed industry standards. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about soldering materials, techniques, and equipment and will have a proven track record of producing high-quality soldered connections.
Key Responsibilities:
Soldering Process Development: Work closely with the engineering team to develop and optimize soldering processes for our products, ensuring they meet IPC standards and other relevant quality requirements.
Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and tests of soldered connections to verify compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
Solder Material Management: Manage the selection, procurement, and handling of soldering materials to ensure consistent quality.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of soldering equipment to ensure reliable and precise soldering processes.
Training: Train and mentor production staff in proper soldering techniques and procedures, ensuring that they adhere to IPC standards.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance soldering processes and methods to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of soldering processes, inspections, and quality control activities. Generate reports and documentation for compliance and improvement purposes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and quality control personnel, to resolve soldering-related issues and provide technical support.
Qualifications:
IPC Certification: Must hold a valid IPC Certification demonstrating expertise in soldering standards and practices.
Educational Background: A degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience may also be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in soldering and soldering process development, with a strong understanding of IPC standards and quality control.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in soldering techniques, equipment operation, and the ability to troubleshoot soldering-related issues.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for training, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve soldering-related problems effectively.
