Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Tool Crib Attendant located in Buffalo Grove, IL.

What a typical day looks like:
- Receives, stores, and issues spare parts, materials, and equipment in an industrial establishment to support technicians in production processes and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using a computer.
- Organizes and sorts items on shelving, bins, and displays, remove packaging scrap and materials to maintain a safe and clean area, printing and scanning of barcodes
- Uses rolling ladders to stock and retrieve items from the stockroom on hard-to-reach shelves as well as vertical storage automation system (such as Remstar Kardex) to stock and retrieve items and accurately maintain spare parts database
- Prepares periodic inventory cycle counts and reports and maintains perpetual inventory of parts and equipment, manually or using a computer.
- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming parts and equipment and tracks against purchase orders; requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
- Assists in placing purchasing requisitions and follows up on quote requests as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the spare parts storage and area, follows 5S best practices and EHS requirements.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Self-Motivated
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Analytical, math, and problem-solving
- Computer skills- excel reports (intermediate)
- Ability to maintain a high level of physical exertion for extended periods and work primarily while standing, ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs
- Experience working with stockroom inventory, ladders and tools
- High school diploma or equivalent and an associate degree in a related field, technical training OR 2-3 years of related experience
- Experience working with vertical storage (Remstar Kardex) is preferred
- Purchasing experience is desirable
- Forklift experience is desirable
