SCOPE / SUMMARY :
Provide technical customer service and support for our manufactured products. The duties will include ensuring orders are accurate, handling rush and special requests, processing RMA's (returned merchandise authorizations), corresponding with customers for assigned accounts both over the phone and via e-mail, applying policies to orders based on order source, handling PODs (Proof of Delivery) and invoice copy requests, processing customer and sales representative requests, tracking orders, and checking status and product availability. The talented individual hired will enter and edit customer orders as appropriate and regularly interact and correspond with the Vice President of Sales ,Customer Service Manager and Sales Representatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Answers the phone, providing assistance to all customers.
2.Uses and applies product knowledge, including product applicability, to assist customers in selecting the correct product for their business needs.
3.Creates new customer accounts in computer database. Utilizes Epics for pricing and estimating purposes.
4.Develops and maintains relationships with product vendors. Utilizes vendors to acquire pricing quotes for stock and special order product.
5.Investigates customer problems or issues with deliveries, product quality, or service. Ensures that such problems or issues are resolved immediately.
6.Recommends additions or deletions of merchandise to be sold in facility based on customer requests and special order sales.
7.Reports product quantity discrepancies to Customer Service Supervisor.
8.Supports all company promotional activities with appropriate training, staffing, merchandising, or selling assistance.
9.Create and return special order quotes to customers in designated time frame as required by management.
This position is an Onsite Position at our Manufacturing Plant in Sanford Florida
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems (involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.)
Basic computer skills including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and point-of-sale operating systems.
