What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Virtualization Consultant position at Flexxible IT?
Flexxible USA IT , LLC, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, has a work-at-home Senior Virtualization Consultant position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems; the remote worksite must be within commuting distance of Durham, NC for weekly trips to the company’s Durham, NC office) responsible for leading the design and deployment of the company’s Virtualization infrastructure.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE :
- Providing expert managerial oversight for multiple versions of Citrix and Citrix Secure gateway, Web Interface, and NetScaler.
- Leading the installation, configuration, and management of the XenApp and XenDesktop Farm (version 5.0, 6.5, 7.x).
- Overseeing the publication of applications via Citrix Studio.
- Managing the day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of Citrix Issues and Citrix User issues.
- Driving Farm and servers reports and maintenance.
- Monitoring and managing the identification of potential issues on the core Citrix infrastructure.
- Leading incident, problem, and change management for ITIL processes.
- Training subordinate employees on Citrix Provisioning Services, Citrix MCS, StoreFront, Citrix Director, VDI, and AWS as applied to Flexx Workspaces and Flexx DesktopAdvance.
REQUIREMENTS :
Must possess a Bachelor‘s degree, or a combination of education and / or experience determined to be the equivalent of a Bachelor‘s degree, pursuant to the USCIS rule that three years of experience can be substituted for one year of education, in Information Technology or a related field, and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Must have one (1) year of experience (can be concurrent) with each of the following : (i) Desktop as a Service (DaaS) projects; (ii) Citrix, Citrix Cloud, VMware Azure, Pure Storage and Nutanix; (iii) Flexx Workspaces and Flexx DesktopAdvance; and (iv) ITIL, Agile and SCRUM.
