Description
Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading pallets into trailers, while supplying products to the lines to run efficiently, as well as other responsibilities within shipping & receiving. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*** Must be able to work 10 hours shift Monday - Thursday and Fridays as needed 5:45pm - 4:00am ***
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load and unload all inbound and outbound trailers – Signature required on outbound Bill of Lading (BOL).
- Secure loads before transportation to include shrink wrapping pallets, use of load restraints and air pillows.
- Transport products to/from different locations within the facility.
- Clean inside of trailers
- Replace propane tanks and/or plug in forklifts to charge as needed.
- Use FlexXray’s yard mule to move unattended trailers around, as required after being trained.
- Proactively advise supervisor of forklift and yard mule maintenance issues.
- Completion of Forklift Inspection Sheet and weekly duty checklists.
- Responsible for proper pallet handling, storage, and care.
- Responsible for ensuring lines have proper product in order to run.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
- Identify and report workplace safety hazards.
- Report up the chain of command on any issues within the shipping and receiving process.
- Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to pass forklift operation test.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must have a sense of urgency.
- Must be able to comply with attendance policy.
- Flexibility to work overtime based on business needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Basic computer skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend, twist, grab, pull, push, reach, walk and sit.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
