Description
The Line Leads monitor the progress of projects, ensuring quality standards are met in alignment with continued customer satisfaction. Assisting the Plant Manager/Supervisor, including but not limited to the following duties below.
*****Monday - Thursday & Fridays as needed (10 hours night shift) *****
Key Responsibilities
- Review the line instruction sheet for each project and communicate the run rules to their team before starting a project.
- Before beginning any project verify that equipment is clean and free of defects.
- Inspect equipment to ensure it meets the specifications for each project.
- Set up inspection equipment prior to running a project.
- Verify the labels and quantities of each pallet.
- Fill out all documentation required for each project.
- Assist the team with any tasks when needed.
- Participate in the inspection process and complete the paperwork associated with each project.
- Comply with the seed check policy.
- Provide appropriate information to the plant leadership before, during, and after each project.
- Other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Ability to view/watch the monitor and positively identify test seeds during routine seed checks.
- Must have a sense of urgency.
- Flexibility to work overtime based on business needs.
- Must have basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- English/Spanish
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, twist, grab, pull, push, reach, walk and sit.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
