Flight Power Repair Group, LLC. is a privately held corporation headquartered in Doral, Florida specializing in providing MRO solutions for the aerospace and industrial markets. We specialize in the repair and overhaul of commercial jet engine components for CFMI CFM56-ALL Series, GE CF6-80C, CF34-ALL Series, Rolls Royce RB211 and Pratt & Whitney PW4000. We also offer repair and overhaul services for industrial turbine components on the Pratt & Whitney GG4/FT4, and GG8/FT8 aero-derivative gas turbines. In addition, Flight Power Repair Group provides a wide range of specialized services for engines, aircraft and landing gear applications which include; Vacuum Heat Treat, Solution and Precipitation Heat Treat, Stress Relief, Shotpeening, Plasma Spray, Cleaning, Ultrasonic Inspection, FPI & FMPI, Welding, Machining, protective coating applications.
The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting incoming parts, materials, and components to ensure they meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality control and compliance with FAA, AS9100, and industry standards. The Receiving Inspector will work closely with purchasing, stockroom, and production teams to prevent non-conforming materials from entering the manufacturing process.
General Responsibilities:
· Inspect incoming shipments of parts, raw materials, and components for defects, damage, and specification compliance.
· Verify part numbers, certifications, and documentation against purchase orders and industry requirements.
· Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
· Document and report non-conforming materials and coordinate with quality and purchasing teams for resolution.
· Maintain detailed inspection records and update inventory tracking systems as required.
· Ensure compliance with FAA, AS9100, and ISO 9001 standards in the receiving inspection process.
· Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and discrepancies.
· Assist in material handling, labeling, and proper storage of inspected parts.
· Support internal and external audits related to incoming materials and supplier quality control.
· Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
· Adapt to additional tasks or modifications to responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing is a plus.
· 2 years of experience in receiving inspection, quality control, or aerospace manufacturing.
· Experience in aerospace, aviation, or precision manufacturing preferred.
Working Conditions:
· Work is primarily performed in a repair shop or hangar environment.
· Requires standing, walking, and the ability to lift moderate weights (up to 50 pounds).
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements:
· Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
· Strong understanding of measurement tools and inspection techniques.
· Familiarity with FAA, AS9100, and ISO 9001 standards for aerospace quality control.
· Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI), receiving inspection procedures, and non-conformance documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory/quality tracking software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects and discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with purchasing, stockroom, and production teams.
