Position available for a Line Service Tech at FlightLevel Aviation Cape May. This is a position that will provide experience dealing with private aircraft while refueling, towing, directing aircraft on the airport ramp, and a host of other duties to ensure our customers receive the best possible service. As a Line Service Tech you will provide ground support to arriving and departing aircraft and customer service for crew members and their passengers. We are looking for an individual who understands that their actions will leave a lasting impression upon our customers. Job Expectations / Line Services
- Refueling various types of aircraft: Jets, Helicopters, Piston Aircraft
- Direct aircraft movements with hand signals to guide aircraft during arrival and departures
- Provide additional services to aircraft, crew and passengers including baggage handling, passenger escort to and from aircraft, ice and coffee services, GPU for aircraft engine starts and lavatory cart services, assist with vehicle movements on ramp.
- Operate all types of ground service equipment - Fuel Trucks, tugs, GPU, carts, all in a safe and efficient manner on ramp and hangar areas.
- Must learn and perform daily Quality Control procedures.
- Must Develop the ability to identify various type of aircraft and refueling procedures.
- Must be able to learn proper aircraft towing and wing clearing procedures.
- Effectively Communicate with Flight Crews and pilots requests and instructions
- Work as a team member to maintain excellent customer service relations.
- Perform general ground and housekeeping maintenance, snow removal
- Aircraft and hangar cleanliness including disposing of garbage, vacuuming, stocking/restocking, removing and conducting general hangar and aircraft cleaning duties
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of ground equipment used to service the aircraft between flights including tow tractors, lavatory carts, ground power cables/units,
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be Detailed Oriented
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Prior FBO experience or aviation knowledge preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent Customer Service, organizational and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to write routine reports and logs in a clear and legible manner, able to add, subtract and divide whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions, able to problem solve issues quickly without supervision.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening with on the job random testing
- Able to pass background check
- Be physically fit and able to be on feet all day, lift 70#’s, repetitive bending, squatting while functioning in a high noise environment.
