We have Airfield Supervisor positions available for the OVERNIGHT shift, previous airfield ramp experience is required.
LOCATION:
Newark, NJ: Newark Liberty International Airport
POSITION STATUS:
- This position is FULL-TIME, hourly
- Training for 4-6 weeks will be on the Day shift 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM, including weekends and holidays.
- After training is complete, your regular work hours will be on the Overnight shift 8:30 PM-4:30 AM, all schedules include weekends and holidays.
PAY RATE:
- $21.00/hr.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Airfield Supervisor guides and is responsible for the production, safety, and performance of employees. Engage with employees to complete all daily tasks for the department. Coordinate day-to-day activities of crew, train/coach new employees, observe work procedures, perform and inspect completed work to ensure adherence to quality, efficiency, and safety standards. Completes daily shift reports documenting completed work, any accidents/injuries, or issues/incidents.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Manually remove and replace leather and fabric aircraft seat covers and deep clean leather aircraft seat covers.
- Prioritize workload for each shift to maximize revenue.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of team members of the designated department.
- Direct crew by performing all daily duties and responsibilities of the department.
- Prepare, compile, and submit daily reports on work activities, safety, operations, production, and other work-related items.
- Engage in the same work crew is assigned.
- Examine and inspect completed work to ensure specifications are met.
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of work completed.
- Clean up the workspace following each service.
- Practice safe work methods and perform other related duties as requested.
- Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Be physically present in the workplace and available to work on all scheduled days to meet workload productivity standards.
MUST-HAVES:
- Must be physically capable to execute the duties of this labor-intensive position.
- Must be able to perform repetitive upper body movement while pulling 50 lbs. constantly and over 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Able to take direction from management.
- Able to follow airline-specific guidelines with tasks pertaining to the cleaning process.
- Able to work floating shifts and/or extra hours to satisfy operational needs.
- Self-starter with a high-energy work style and positive demeanor.
- Highly organized and attention to detail required.
- Required aptitudes: Math – basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, etc.).
- Language skills: Proficient English required.
- Safety conscious work approach is required.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
A valid driver's license for at least 1 full year with a clean driving record is required.
