Electrical Engineering Manager (VTOL Drones)

Job Description

FlightWave, a subsidiary of Red Cat (NASDAQ : RCAT), is looking to fill an Electrical Engineering Manager position. FlightWave designs and manufactures cutting edge VTOL drones and sensors for use in defense and other government security organizations. The Edge 130 aircraft is capable of transitioning from multi-rotor takeoff mode into fixed wing flight, offering superior range and endurance.

In this role, you will lead a small electrical engineering team that is responsible for design, prototyping, fabrication, testing and integration of electrical systems into flight hardware and ground control systems. The ideal candidate will be strong in program management, developing schedules and timelines, establishing goals and priorities, while at the same time being eager to get hands-on with both architectural and detailed design work.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate EE program priorities, schedules, release gates, and procurement milestones for a small team of flight hardware engineers.
• Lead design reviews and production releases of new board designs.
• Lead architectural ownership over integrated system level electrical design.
• Personally design, prototype, test, and debug PCBAs and Flex PCBAs.
