Job Summary

Compass Group - Flik is seeking experienced Executive Chef to cook authentic Korean dishes. Primarily Monday - Friday at a corporate account

• Producing and preparing food according to menus, recipes and portions.
• Must truly understand all flavor profiles of Korean dishes and have the ability to produce these profiles reliably, on a consistent basis.
• The understanding of product cost and an overall P&L statement that determines the success of your operation.
• The ability to establish strong vendor partnerships that help ensure our success and meet our product cost goals.
• Maintains proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food, serving food and clean-up. Provides an inspection-ready environment at all times.
• Set-up and break-down station in orderly fashion and transport product from cafe serving area.
• Ensure quality and visual presentation of food.
• Conduct a team to execute timely, flavorful and authentic Korean dishes.
• Assist in other areas of the operation as needed.
  
  

Requirements:

• Experience leading and managing the expectations for an entire of team, up to 5 people.
• Must have extensive experience, in a fast-paced, prep-intensive environment that provides meals for up to 500 people per day.
• The ability to speak fluent Korean. The ability to speak English is highly desired.
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Effective time management, that guides, teaches and utilizes the talents of his/her team partners, fostering a cohesive teamwork environment.
• Presentation and customer service skills that denote professionalism and respect as well as cleanliness and organization.
• Maintains Flik Hospitality Standards.
• Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dialoguing with customers, presenting a "doing what you love, loving what you do demeanor."
• Ability to lift, bend and carry up to 40 lbs.
