Job Summary
We are seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager for education dining in Charleston, SC. This is an exceptionally outstanding opportunity with FISD to lead a team in a vibrant setting while implementing elite dining experiences that support local and balanced practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Full culinary management of food service operations, effectively coordinating inventory, ordering, and receiving operations.
- Demonstrate proven P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience.
- Proficiently develop menus, lead costs, and implement purchasing and inventory strategies, with a focus on sourcing local food products.
- Passionately support sustainability initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of culinary management experience in contract food service, restaurant, or hotel setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and control of financials, inventory, and purchasing.
- Extensive understanding of food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
- Some catering experience is helpful.
- P&L accountability experience is required.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
