Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products within our distribution center. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks to move products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations.
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Check output to ensure highest quality
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
