Aftermarket Parts Sales Position Specifics:

Reports to: Materials Manager

Job Status: Non-Exempt
Purpose:
This is a critical customer service position that requires building relationships and trust with our OEM and aftermarket parts customers. Candidate is responsible for purchasing, selling, delivery and parts warranty support of John Deere and affiliated aftermarket parts and accessories. Handles customer needs via phone, email and occasional in-store customer service.
Essential Functions:
•Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs•Tracks and files parts shortages, mis-shipments and damage claims•Assists dealers, OEM’s, customers and sales team with part lookup and verification.•Files parts orders, claims, mailings and bulletins as required in conjunction with other parts personnel•Practices "upselling" with dealers and OEM’s to meet additional customer needs while increasing sales volume.•Follows up on shortages and expedite issues•Provides quotes for and orders John Deere & ServiceGard tools•Gains and utilizes understanding of Flint manufactured product components in order to support customer needs for non-engine components and assemblies
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
•Ability to develop relationships with customers and dealers over the phone and via email•Intermediate verbal and written communication skills•Intermediate data entry, keyboarding and computer skills •Basic parts and machinery knowledge•Previous Parts Look up experience •Ability to learn and use various John Deere sites and applications •Ability to work in a team environment •Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. •High School diploma or equivalent experience
