The Flint Freedom Schools Collaborative (FFSC) is a community-informed, collaborative solution to closing the educational gap, fostering positive esteem, and encouraging holistic wellness and development of youth, young adults, and professional talent throughout Flint and Genesee County.
The FFSC facilitates high-quality, culturally-relevant, data-driven enrichment; promotes equitable learning opportunities; and contributes to community-driven partnerships. FFSC programs engage Flint and Genesee County K-12 youth in literacy enrichment and internships, college-age young adults in paid experiential learning and professional development, parents and families in workshops and activities that assist them in supporting their children outside of school hours, and community organizations in collaborative projects and capacity-building activities.

This is a summer-time position, geared toward college-age and young adults looking for experience working with youth in the Flint & Genesee County area.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in local training
- Support Site Coordinator with daily program operations
- Support maintaining staff and scholar safety
- Support Site Coordinator with the decoration of site
- Build positive relationships with staff, scholars & family
members
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate National Day of
Social Action
- Collaborate with staff to coordinate site finale
- Oversee intern development progress
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: From $15.15 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
