The Flint Freedom Schools Collaborative (FFSC) is a community-informed, collaborative solution to closing the educational gap, fostering positive esteem, and encouraging holistic wellness and development of youth, young adults, and professional talent throughout Flint and Genesee County.
The FFSC facilitates high-quality, culturally-relevant, data-driven enrichment; promotes equitable learning opportunities; and contributes to community-driven partnerships. FFSC programs engage Flint and Genesee County K-12 youth in literacy enrichment and internships, college-age young adults in paid experiential learning and professional development, parents and families in workshops and activities that assist them in supporting their children outside of school hours, and community organizations in collaborative projects and capacity-building activities.

This is a summer-time position, geared toward college-age and young adults looking for experience working with youth in the Flint & Genesee County area.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Integrated Reading Curriculum to scholars
- Support the implementation of Harambee & afternoon activities
- Build positive relationships with scholars & family members
- Collaborate to build a supportive and structured environment for scholars
- Set up, manage and break down classroom space according to standards developed by CDF
- Report any issues or concerns regarding scholars in the program to the Site Coordinator.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.46 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
