Flint Group, a leading provider of printing solutions, is seeking a skilled Ink Technician to join our team in Bowling Green, KY. As a Ink Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless production of high-quality Water Base Printer meeting the demands of our valued customers.
SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supply Ink on color and on time to maintain presses demand and eliminate down time.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve a zero work place injury and incident record by maintaining a clean and organized work place using Lean manufacturing and 5s techniques.
- Comply with all Flint Group and customer safety requirements including your attendance in monthly safety training and the wearing of personal protection equipment.
- Weigh, blend, QC, and deliver in a productive, efficient, and safe manner press-ready inks to meet the demands of the customer’s production schedule.
- Follow appropriate quality control and inspection process to include color control with X Rite equipment,
- Prepare and maintain accurate manufacturing and quality control records to meet production dates per customer’s schedule, ink adjustments at press, press downtime documents, root cause and corrective actions.
- Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations for jobs going to press.
- Assist with maintaining the work off ink process by regulating use and storage.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of all products to support the customer demand while also meeting On Hand Inventory targets. Work off press return inventory to meet targets.
- Exhibit strong Safety Culture and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized Ink room and Ink Lab facility.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must be able to see color.
- Must pass a background and drug screen.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of successful manufacturing experience, particularly with mixing ink/color matching.
- Ability to perform strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work (lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally 100 pounds), work in extreme temperatures, and stand for extended periods.
