Job Overview
The Head Varsity Cross Country Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and directing the middle and upper school cross country program.

This position reports to the Director of Athletics; preference will be given to candidates that can fulfill other full-time faculty/staff roles at Flint Hill.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will havecompetitive coaching experience as a Head Varsity Cross Country Coach, a college coach or elite level coach, effective written and oral communication skills, a Bachelor’s Degree, a connection to the youth and local running community, an ability to build relationships and work well with others, a sharp perspective on the role of competitive athletics in the educational experience, and the ability to teach full time or fulfill another role in the school
Principle duties include:
- Offer positive leadership by coaching the Varsity program
- Oversees the entire cross-country program including our middle school program
- Hires and selects assistant coaches in collaboration with the Director of Athletics
- Plans and develops a budget for the program for approval by the Director of Athletics and Director of Athletic Operations
- Attends admissions-related events that help attract scholar-athletes to the Flint Hill community
- Serves as an ambassador for the school and the program by connecting and following up with interested scholar-athletes
- Conducts out-of-season programs within league rules such as strength conditioning, leagues, and pre/post-season workouts
- Connects with Lower School students and families to promote participation in the program.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,500.00 per month
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
