As a Process Engineer in the Process Technology and Project Development Capability, you will leverage your process knowledge and skills to provide innovative solutions that will create competitive advantages for our business that are consistent with the company EHS and stewardship goals.
What You Will Do
- Provide value-added process engineering support to the Refinery Project Portfolio from Phase 1 (option selection) thru Phase 7 (project close-out) to deliver innovative, quality, and timely solutions to create long-term competitive advantage in our refinery consistent with our business point of view.
- Develop a preliminary design, seek stakeholder input, and thoroughly vet the design relative to business objectives and functional expectations.
- Actively participate in project post-audit and efforts to continually improve our tools and processes and apply lessons learned to future projects
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other teams and leaders across the site and the business
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commit to ongoing learning and development of new skills
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
- At least three (3) years’ experience in the refining/petrochemical or related industry providing technical support for operating units or support of projects
- Experience with process engineering support of projects including process development equipment design, alternative selection, economic evaluation
What Will Put You Ahead
- At least five (5) years of experience in the refining/petrochemical industry
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- More in-depth understanding of refinery economics and how to apply it to project analysis
