Our Team
FHR is seeking a motivated Pipelines and Terminals COOP to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in pipeline system optimization with a focus on networked systems within a dynamic and challenging environment.
What You Will Do
* Collaborate with a small group of Mechanical Engineers (ME), Chemical Engineers (ChE), drafters/designers, Pipeline Operations personnel.
* Engage in applied mathematics and mathematical modeling, instructing team members on the basics of Operations Research type problem-solving for improved results.
* Conduct network analysis, simulations, and operations research related to pipeline economic optimization.
* Develop methodologies for optimizing both linear and networked pipeline systems.
* Connect and collaborate with senior staff members and a supervising engineer .
* Work with your team to apply optimization techniques practical scenarios.
* Participate in a respectful, feedback-oriented environment where team members challenge each other to make better decisions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Currently pursing a degree in Engineering or technical study (i.e. Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field).
* Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship
* Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2027
