Our Mechanical Tracking Superintendents are responsible for directly managing a Solar project's Mechanical Tracking activities to meet specifications within budgeted cost by the scheduled completion date. The Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for a specific area of a larger project while exercising direct supervision over assigned projects providing direction, leadership, and guidance to employees and subcontractors, assisting them in planning, coordination and execution of their work in order to complete the project in a timely and economical manner with high standards of workmanship. Responsible for maximizing profits on assigned projects.

All job functions shall be accomplished including practicing, instructing all subordinates in, and enforcing all OSHA safety requirements/guidelines, in addition to all company policies and procedures. The MEP Superintendent will be held directly accountable for safety performance and provide supervisory direction for mechanical crews assigned to a particular work area. Typically works under the direction and supervision of a senior level superintendent.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
• Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and for the safe execution of all activities with strict adherence to the company’s safety policies.
• Supervise craft employees assigned to area of responsibility. Provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor work performance and productivity of craft employees to ensure project rules, procedures, schedule, etc. are maintained.
• Advise senior level supervision of potential problems such as work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
• Ensure that craft time sheets are completed to accurately reflect hours worked.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of mechanical system and equipment capabilities.
• Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower requirements, material quantities and equipment requirements.
• Maintain high regard for Skanska Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
• Ensure that quality work is performed.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred. 

Experience
Minimum five years of construction, engineering, or similar experience preferably in a Mechanical Tracking capacity and in a supervisory role. Effective working knowledge of Mechanical Tracking systems relating to Utility-Scale Solar Projects and good knowledge of particular crafts, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations and engineering drawings. Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance is essential.
