About the Role

We are seeking our first Solutions Engineer (SE) to effectively connect Sales, Customer Success, and clients, with the primary aim of maximizing conversions of trials and proof-of-concepts (POCs).

At Flip, we guide potential clients through a structured evaluation of our AI-powered voice assistance :

  • Discovery & Demo - Clients explore Flip's capabilities.
  • Call Listening & Analysis - Our system transcribes and analyzes calls for automation opportunities.
  • Trial (Automation Turned On) - Flip handles live calls for a defined period to evaluate performance.
  • Full Rollout (Paid Contract) - Clients commit based on the trial outcomes.

As the Solutions Engineer, your mission is to ensure technical excellence at each phase, eliminate barriers, and enhance the chances of trial conversions by facilitating seamless integrations of Flip’s AI in real customer environments. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives (AEs), Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and engineers to ensure smooth transitions and successful POCs.

What You'll Do

  • Pre-Sales & POC Readiness (Demo & Call Analysis)
  • Collaborate with AEs to evaluate technical feasibility and address integration inquiries.
  • Participate in sales calls to provide insights on technical integration issues.
  • Ensure accurate configuration of Listen Mode for effective call data analysis.
  • Support custom demo environments as needed (AEs will handle standard demos).
  • Trial Execution & Conversion (Automation Turned On)
  • Manage the technical setup of trials, ensuring all integrations work optimally.
  • Collaborate with customer IT teams to troubleshoot any integration challenges.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between Sales, Customer Success, and clients to ensure trial success.
  • Identify recurring issues during trials and refine internal processes to boost conversion rates.
  • Handoff & Expansion Support
  • Transition successful trials to CSMs for full implementation.
  • Be available for high-impact technical escalations without being involved in day-to-day post-sale support.
  • Support expansion projects that require in-depth technical validation.
  • What You Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Support within a software company.
  • Strong grasp of software development, system architecture, APIs, cloud technologies, and integrations.
  • Proven ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences through customer-facing roles.
  • Proficient in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) and relevant software tools.
  • Familiarity with SaaS solutions, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and current web technologies.
  • Experience with databases (SQL / NoSQL), data integration, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with enterprise software solutions and B2B sales methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Glady, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
  • Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) or other relevant industry credentials.
  • Bonus :

  • A customer-centric mindset with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Expertise in eCommerce customer experience.
