Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports for various clients.
- Reconcile bank and investment statements to ensure accuracy and find any errors.
- Handle general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll tasks.
- Prepare necessary reports and tax filings for state and local governments, ensuring they are accurate and on-time.
- Help other team members review and prepare financial statements.
Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online, and familiarity with QuickBooks Payroll.
- Knowledge of filing requirements for payroll, sales tax, and other government filings.
- Some knowledge of income tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals.
Soft Skill Requirements:
- You’re a fan of Brene Brown and you are familiar with B.R.A.V.I.N.G., if you aren’t, upon being hired, you will be.
- You have a desire to grow and lead a team of people.
- You love personality tests and geek out on communication styles.
- You dig touchy-feely professional growth, don’t worry, we have work-life boundaries.
Position Details:
- This position begins at 25 hours per week, with an increase to 40 hours per week expected by the end of the year.
- Pay for this position starts at $23-25 per hour, with the potential for higher pay based on experience.
- Vacation prorated until full time and six (6) days per year sick pay.
- 401k provided and AFLAC supplemental insurance.
