Overview: Jacaranda Smiles Pediatric and Orthodontic Dentistry is looking for a friendly, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This key position serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in dental office operations, strong communication skills, and a passion for working with children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Greet patients warmly, verify their personal and insurance information, and ensure accurate and timely check-in/check-out processes.
- Scheduling: Answer phone calls, schedule patient appointments, and manage the appointment calendar for pediatric and orthodontic services. Ensure efficient use of the schedule and minimize patient wait times.
- Insurance Verification and Billing: Assist with insurance verification, check benefits, and explain coverage details to patients. Process co-pays and assist with billing inquiries.
- Patient Communication: Provide clear, professional communication to patients and families regarding appointment reminders, scheduling changes, and office policies. Address any patient concerns with patience and empathy.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, including collecting and updating patient information, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. File and retrieve records as necessary.
- Multitasking and Problem-Solving: Effectively handle multiple tasks, including answering phones, managing patient flow, and assisting the team with other office duties. Resolve any issues or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring the office is welcoming for patients and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a front desk receptionist in a dental or medical office is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
