Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals requiring care. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to each client's needs.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the patient's condition to the healthcare team.
- Document medical information accurately, including daily activities and patient progress.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or in hospice care.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and basic first aid is beneficial.
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or those requiring hospice support is highly desirable.
- A compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
