Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients, assisting them with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety while lifting or moving them.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of client care and progress.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
- Support clients with dementia care, utilizing appropriate techniques to manage behaviors.
- Perform catheter care as required, ensuring hygiene and comfort for the client.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is beneficial.
- A strong understanding of dementia care techniques is desirable.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely and effectively when assisting clients.
