Job Summary / Description : The Weekend Sports Anchor / Reporter position is for a voracious news gatherer. The primary responsibilities of this position are to shoot, report, and edit local sports stories for First Alert 6 broadcasts on-air and on all digital platforms. Anchor sportscasts in weekend newscasts.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Develop, report, and cover local sports stories
- Shoot and edit sports video
- Find and report high-quality stories that target our key / core viewers
- Stay current on sports topics, local teams, and local sports developments through reading, research, and contact with sports sources
- Write and post sports stories to FirstAlert6.com daily
- Post sports stories / commentary on all station social media platforms
- Other duties as assigned
