Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will drive new business development and manage national accounts, focusing on DME distributors. This role involves building and leading a team, developing strategic business plans, and creating a repeatable playbook for marketing and sales within the DME space. The manager will also represent Cubby Beds at key industry events and manage relationships with strategic partners to drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
Lead National DME Sales Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to expand relationships with DME distributors, including prospecting, selling, and managing key accounts.
Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a growing team (starting with 2 with short term potential to expand to 4-6), motivating them to achieve performance targets.
Sales Execution : Complete in-services and follow-up actions to ensure the success of new accounts and help them grow.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis : Identify industry trends, customer needs, competitor strategies, and regulatory issues (e.g., reimbursement requirements).
Sales Forecasting and CRM Management : Create and manage sales opportunities in Salesforce, set performance goals, and assist with sales forecasting.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Work cross-functionally with internal teams to optimize the business development strategy and provide feedback from the field.
Core Competencies
Proven track record of business development and sales success in the DME space (5 years).
Demonstrated leadership experience (ideally with 2 years in a people management role).
Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to develop and implement a repeatable sales playbook.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience in strategic account management and familiarity with DME reimbursement regulations.
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and strong MS Office skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
5 years of experience in the DME or related industry.
Strong people management skills with a demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and lead a successful team.
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a data-driven, customer-focused team environment.
Comfortable with national travel to meet with key DME providers.
