Industry Experience is a Must
This position requires previous experience in the flooring industry—whether that’s in sales, installation, showroom management, or running your own business. Applicants without relevant flooring, tile, carpet, or related background will not be considered.
What You’ll Do
This is not just a support or coordinator role. You will be the primary person responsible for running the showroom, generating new business, and managing customer relationships from start to finish. You’ll also serve as the key link between the customer, estimator, and installation team.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has operated or owned a flooring business
- Worked in a flooring showroom and played a key role in generating revenue
- Has a proven ability to bring in leads and close deals through networking, advertising, partnerships, or local marketing
Core Responsibilities
Marketing & Lead Generation
- Develop and implement local strategies to attract new customers
- Build relationships with contractors, real estate agents, property managers, and other local professionals
- Plan and execute marketing efforts including promotions, local events, or digital campaigns
- Monitor lead flow and conversion performance
Showroom Management & Sales
- Welcome walk-in customers and provide expert guidance on products and project options
- Keep product displays clean, organized, and updated
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and guide customers through the sales process
- Follow up consistently with potential clients until jobs are closed
Project & Installation Coordination
- Schedule installation jobs and communicate timelines to customers and installers
- Ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on time
- Act as the main point of contact throughout each customer’s project
- Resolve issues as they arise, ensuring a smooth experience from quote to completion
Qualifications
- Prior experience in flooring, either in sales, installation, or business operations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
- Experience managing customer relationships and coordinating multiple moving parts
- Familiarity with CRM tools, quoting systems, and general business software is a plus
