Customer Service Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary duty of a Customer Service Representative is to promote the company’s products and/or services through excellent customer service. They welcome customers, guide them through the products, answer questions and make sure guests have a pleasant experience. OBJECTIVES

  • Welcome customers into the store
  • Recommend the best products for their needs to increase customers’ options and enrich the shopping experience
  • Demonstrate the benefits and functions of products, method of preparation, materials needed for the installation process from beginning to end
  • Thoroughly explain warranties and contracts to customers
  • Accept/process orders and receive payments from customers
  • Answer calls and respond to emails and leads that come in via phone, email, Facebook, Instagram, and other means in a timely manner
  • Assure all sales and warranty agreements are properly signed
  • Setup and confirm installation date after materials arrive
  • Setup measure appointment, confirm appointments and complete measure sheets
  • Create customer files by asking customers how they heard of the company and log the customer's full name and email regardless if a sale was made or not.
  • Create, send, and adjust estimates as needed
  • Promote special sales, offers and awareness of contractor loyalty program
  • Maintain a clean, organized; workspace, showroom and location

COMPETENCIES

  • Stay knowledgeable and up to date on products and services provided by the company
  • Understand systems used to log and track all sales and appointments

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Valid authorization to work in the U.S
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred:

1-2 years of sales experience

Quickbooks knowledge

Construction; flooring experience

Knowledge of PandaDoc

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand for hours at a time
  • Lift, pick up at least 20 lbs
  • Sit down for hours at a time
