SUMMARY : The Controller is a senior financial leader responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to drive company performance. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audit processes. The Controller collaborates closely with the executive team to align financial strategies with business objectives and supports the company's mission through fiscal responsibility and innovation.

OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS :

Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
Manage the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
Lead and coordinate external audit processes and regulatory filings.
Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and systems.
Collaborate with the executive team to align financial strategies with business objectives.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS :

Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on financial planning and strategy.

Mentor and train junior accounting staff to build a strong, capable team.

Evaluate and recommend new accounting software or tools to enhance reporting and efficiency.

Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Provide financial analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, or other strategic initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor"s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

CPA required.

7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial forecasting, and budget management.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Office-based role with occasional travel as required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills to interpret complex financial data and make strategic decisions .

Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and present financial insights to stakeholders.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations, including meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities.

Strategic thinking to align financial management with organizational goals.

Prolonged periods of sitting in meetings or at a computer workstation.

Occasional lifting of files or documents (up to 10 lbs).

Regular use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents.
