Job Title: QA Lab Analyst II
Reports To: QA Supervisor
Job Summary:
QA Analyst II will be responsible for carrying out the main support functions in an Aseptic Beverage Lab in a manufacturing facility. These functions include but are not limited to commercial sterility testing using aseptic technique, environmental monitoring, raw and finished product analysis, chemical analyses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain corporate and plant-specific food safety, quality, and laboratory standards.
Calibrate lab and line equipment to ensure accurate testing results.
Collect and analyze in-process and finished product samples through qualitative, quantitative, and microbial testing.
Conduct environmental monitoring, including ATP/allergen swabs and wastewater analysis.
Document and report testing results while identifying deficiencies, isolating non-conforming products, and assisting in troubleshooting issues.
Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for deficiencies and non-conformances.
Lead validation and verification processes for lab testing methods.
Assist in the implementation of new testing methodologies and food safety programs.
Train and mentor QA Lab Analyst I personnel.
Collaborate with production teams to improve process control and quality assurance procedures.
Review, analyze, and interpret laboratory data to identify trends and process deviations.
Coordinate internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Serve as a backup for QA Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
1-2 Years Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
Experience may include a combination of work experience and education
Scientific/Technical reading and writing experience preferred
Laboratory skills around microbiological and chemical methods
Must read, write and communicate in English
Must follow GMP Policy - wear company issued uniform, hat, safety glasses, earplugs and hairnet in production areas
Able to lift 50 pounds
Able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment
Communicates clearly and effectively to manage expectations
Education
Minimum: Associates Degree
Preferred: Bachelors Degree
Certification/License
Required: N/A
Preferred: HACCP, PCQI
Foreign Language
Preferred: Spanish
