Flora Farms is a vertically integrated cannabis company based in Southwest Missouri. We are proud to have one Missouri's largest indoor grow facilities located in Humansville, and we manufacture cannabis extracts and pre-rolls in our Springfield facility. Flora Farms has six dispensary locations in Kansas City and Southwest Missouri. Our Lee's Summit location is located on beautiful 3rd Street and serves the customers of Lee's Summit and greater KC.

Job Description

Flora Farms Lee's Summit is looking for a Part Time Budtender. This position will be 20-28 hours per week and consistent mostly of evening and weekend shifts. Our store is open 7 days a week. Candidates must be able to work 4pm-10pm shifts during the week and any shift during the weekend. Budtenders are paid $14.00 per hour plus tips.

The number one responsibility of a Budtender is to provide a comfortable experience to our customers and assist them in selecting the suitable cannabis products. A Budtender is also responsible for day-to-day operations of the dispensary. These duties include reception and check-in, cleaning, inventory management, cash handling and anything else as directed by the management team.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming customers and guests in a timely, professional manner
• Verifying a customer's identification to ensure they are legally permitted to purchase cannabis
• Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their expressed needs
• Educate customers on how to safely use their selected products
• Practices empathy and active listening when working with customers to address their specific needs and wants
• Cultivating and maintaining accurate and current knowledge of medicinal cannabis, terpenes, and common medical uses
• Awareness of industry trends and new products, as well as changing industry regulations
• Maintains a level of intellectual curiosity regarding cannabis and its medicinal benefits
• Processing payments, basic cash handling and POS skills
• Contributing to the overall cleanliness and organization of the dispensary property both interior and exterior
• Working with management to ensure the sales floor is fully stocked
• Alerting management to customer complaints as well as operational and loss prevention concerns
• Contribute to the security of the store and ensuring all state guidelines are met
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, team-oriented environment
• Operates with the direct supervision of the Store Manager and Upper Management Team
• Promotes a work environment that is positive, customer-service and solution oriented
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older to apply
• Able to pass a Federal and State of Missouri criminal background check
• Must be able to obtain an Agent ID through the state of Missouri
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• 1-3 years customer service experience required
• Retail experience preferred
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of cannabis products
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation
• Evening availability and holiday availability
• Positive attitude
• Strong work ethic
• Passion for cannabis and desire to broaden cannabis knowledge base
