Job Description

Flora Farms Lee's Summit is looking for a Full Time Budtender. This position will be scheduled 35-40 hours per week. Our store hours are Monday-Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-6pm. Full Time employees must provide open availability (including evenings and weekends) and be able to accommodate a flexible schedule. No set schedules are available for this position. Budtenders are paid $14.00 per hour plus tips. Benefits include 100% employer paid health insurance, dental and vision insurance options, PTO after waiting period and an employee discount.

The number one responsibility of a Budtender is to provide a great experience to our customers and assist them in selecting suitable cannabis products. A Budtender is also responsible for day-to-day operations of the dispensary. These duties include reception and check-in, cleaning, inventory management, cash handling and anything else as directed by the management team.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming customers and guests in a timely, professional manner
• Verifying a customer's identification to ensure they are legally permitted to purchase cannabis
• Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their expressed needs
• Educate customers on how to safely use their selected products
• Able to meet sales goals and following company directives
• Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of cannabis, terpenes, and common uses
• Awareness of industry trends and new products, as well as changing industry regulations
• Processing payments, cash handling and POS skills
• Contributing to the overall cleanliness and organization of the dispensary property both interior and exterior
• Alerting management to customer complaints as well as operational and loss prevention concerns
• Contribute to the security of the store and ensuring all state guidelines are met
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, team-oriented environment
• Operates with the direct supervision of the General Manager and Upper Management Team
• Promotes a work environment that is positive, customer-service and solution oriented
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older to apply
• Able to pass a Federal and State of Missouri criminal background check
• Must be able to obtain an Agent ID through the state of Missouri
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• 2-4 years customer service experience required
• Retail experience preferred
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of cannabis products
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation

• Strong work ethic
• Passion for cannabis and desire to broaden cannabis knowledge base
