Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory of a dispensary. This position involves handling and tracking cannabis products, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record new shipments of cannabis products and related supplies.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for all products, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Track product expiration dates.
Data Entry and Documentation:
- Document issues with product delivery and ensure appropriate parties are notified
- Document product discrepancies in a timely manner.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all inventory practices adhere to state and local regulations regarding cannabis handling and storage.
- Assist with internal and external audits to verify compliance with legal and company standards.
- Report any discrepancies or compliance issues to appropriate parties immediately.
Customer Service:
- Provide knowledgeable assistance to management and front of house team.
- Collaborate with sales associates to ensure popular and high-demand products are readily available.
Operational Support:
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized storage area and dispensary floor.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Support inventory related tasks during peak periods and special promotions.
- Takes on additional duties as needed with a positive attitude.
Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with management and other staff members to coordinate inventory needs and address any issues on weekly inventory call.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older to apply.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Able to pass a Federal Background check
- Must be able to obtain a Missouri Agent ID through the Division of Cannabis Regulation
- Able to work a flexible schedule with open availability. Position is for 35-40 hours a week. Availability on evenings and weekends required.
- Familiar with inventory management systems and MS Excel.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Familiar with cannabis products in the Missouri market
- Previous experience in retail or warehouse environment preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
