Job Description
The Splash Pad Attendant is responsible for enforcing Splash Pad regulations and policies to ensure a safe, but enjoyable visitor experience during public hours, private rentals, and special events.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the opening, operating, and closing procedures of the Splash Pad, as well as collecting daily admission fees.
- Monitors guests during their utilization of the Splash Pad, and enforces safety rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable visitor experience.
- Performs custodial and housekeeping activities of all Splash Pad facilities to ensure the attractiveness, cleanliness, and safety to meet and exceed established standards; monitors surrounding areas for trash and debris and performs appropriate cleanup.
- Communicates regularly with other attendants, Park Rangers, Parks Superintendent, and other Parks and Recreation staff to ensure the Splash Pad operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Responds quickly and appropriately to incidents and/or accidents, and declarations of inclement weather; completes associated documents and reports as required.
- Operates cash register; performs basic math in collecting fees, making change, and reconciling funds; completes all related documentation; secures funds.
- Must be available to work Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (including Memorial Day and Labor Day Mondays). Evening, weekday and weekend work is required.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Disseminates information to park visitors on park facilities, and local areas of interest.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Qualifications: Education and Work Experience
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Must possess, or be able to pass, First Aid and CPR certification before starting work.

- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, carry, move and lift 30 lb. objects regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must have the ability to travel up to 5%.
