Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier/Expeditor to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Cashier/Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to enhance the dining experience of our guests. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Duties
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify that all orders are complete, accurate, and meet quality standards before they leave the kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines.
- Utilize Toast POS system for order management and tracking.
- Engage with customers when necessary, providing excellent service and upselling menu items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to resolve any issues related to food quality or order discrepancies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or quick service fast food environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Experience with food preparation techniques is a plus.
