Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and implementing a variety of recreational, educational, and social activities for residents.
Ensure activities are designed to meet the physical and cognitive abilities of residents, enhancing their quality of life.
Engage with residents during activities, providing encouragement and support.
Help maintain records of participation and resident progress.
Collaborate with the Activities Director to plan special events and outings.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages resident involvement.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation therapy or a related field preferred.
Experience working with older adults or in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with residents.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
