Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Provide counseling and support in areas including gender issues, utilizing specialized techniques such as art therapy.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Experience
- A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
- Experience in gender issues counseling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with art therapy techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its application in treatment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential for success in this role.
