Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is seeking applications for the position of Associate Professor of Educational Leadership in the College of Education.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include working collaboratively with colleagues, directing master’s thesis and doctoral dissertations, teaching graduate statistics courses in educational leadership, advising graduate students, possessing knowledge of state and national accreditation processes and standards, and serving on department, college, and university committees.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires a Ph.D. or Ed. D. in Educational Leadership from a regionally accredited institution; the applicant must be eligible to meet the criteria for Associate Professor in the College of Education at FAMU; 18-21 hours in graduate statistics and measurement courses; minimum of five years of graduate teaching experience in Educational Leadership, documented experience teaching statistics courses at the graduate level; strong writing/communication skills, adept in American Psychological (APA) style; 3 years of P-12 experience; experience advising Master’s and doctoral students and directing Master’s Thesis and dissertations; record of refereed publications and research; demonstrated success or the potential for success in seeking external grants and contracts; demonstrated experience working collaboratively with diverse groups of faculty, staff, and students; maintain an active research agenda; experience working with cohort delivery models; and experience with online delivery of instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online or in blended/hybrid formats using various learning technologies and platforms, and 3-5 years prior teaching graduate statistics courses and service on dissertation committee member as a statistician.
