Florida A&M University's Coleman Library, Instructional Media Center is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Acedemic Support Services vacancy.
Responsibilities
Develops courses for online delivery; Works with faculty (Subject Matter Experts) to design courses; Develops and conducts classroom instruction, seminars, and workshops; Organizes faculty development training for online teaching; Maintains the Online Education database as required for accountability of internal and external reporting; Assist the Director in the development and execution of Online Education reports as required by the Board of Governors, Title Ill, and internal departments; Participates in National certifications for online course design and development (Quality Matters Standards); Maintains appropriate records and evaluations related to online course design, development, and training; Participates in workshops, conferences, and seminars; Makes presentations to various groups on appropriate subject matters regarding online education; Supports faculty with on-going tasks related to the Learning Management System; Participates in developing institutional processes and standards related to online education; Participates in the development of online course review processes; Participates in professional development opportunities for designing and developing online courses and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the appropriate area of specialization and two years (2) of related experience or master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
Recommended Competencies
Knowledge of and ability to use Blackboard or similar learning management system;
Knowledge of virtual classroom technologies;
Knowledge of and ability to use mobile technologies;
Ability to access distance learning educational settings; and,
Knowledge of and ability to use video conferencing technologies.
Pay Plan
This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.

Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.
