Florida A&M University's College of Nursing is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Administrative Services vacancy. This position requires in-person attendance on our main campus in Tallahassee, Florida.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing student affairs programs; Directs the assigned areas of responsibility to ensure that established goals and objectives are communicated and attained; Provides leadership and direction in policy development; Serves as liaison between the University and other School of Nursing departments and other organizations on student affairs matters; Represents the School of Nursing on University committees, attends meetings and conferences as appropriate; Coordinates and implements various projects as assigned, including student outcomes tracking initiatives, college-wide strategic initiatives and various presentations and communications (recruitment, admission, advisement, registration, referrals, academic progression, retention, and graduation, etc.).
Assists with tracking and monitoring Nursing student affairs priorities. This includes:
Maintain security of student files; Using the University’s reporting tools (iRattler ImageNow, etc.) and operational data system, develop and maintain complex reports to support the Nursing’s Student Affairs Division as directed by the Director and Dean; Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of the functionality of the iRattler student modules, identification of and inter-relatedness of data elements for reporting purposes; Assists with degree audits; Participates in efforts to maintain connections with alumni; and under the direction of the Director, develop reports and strategies to support assessments related to Student Affairs programming and services.
Maintain effective working relations with professional staff (Pre-Nursing Advisors), Directors and Deans; Assists with ensuring new student orientation; Attends and participates in recruitment activities as identified by the Director and Dean; Promotes hiring announcements and opportunities with graduating and graduated nursing students; Conducts data collection and analysis as prescribed by the Director and Dean; Provides advisement to students to include transcript evaluations; Initiates strategies to increase retention of professional level students (e.g. workshops, counseling, professional development activities).
Serves as liaison between the School of Nursing and appropriate departments and committees as directed; Serves as liaison between Deans, Directors and others to gather information to appropriately respond to student issues/concerns; Manages the team of student workers within Student Affairs and other employees as assigned; Assists with composing and preparing correspondence for the Director; Works collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, and with students of various learning styles, cultures, identities, and life-experiences; and Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years experience; or master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Prefer individuals with experience in a university setting;
Prefer individuals knowledgeable about graduate nursing specialized accreditation (e.g. ACEN), legal and regulatory standards, and licensure and certification requirements; and,
Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience related to management and administration; or Master’s degree and two years of experience related to management and administration.
Pay Plan
This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.
