Florida A&M University is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the vacancy Program Assistant for University Housing Central Office.
Responsibilities
This position consists of work assisting in managing one or more office functions or operations within a unit; Maintaining an organized office environment by managing files and office equipment; Drafting and managing communications such as emails and memos for students; Responds to telephone, walk-ins, and the department emails in a timely method; Assist in planning and executing program-related events such as workshops, trainings, orientation sessions, and resource fairs; Serve as a point of contact for students, providing guidance and directing them to appropriate resources; Input data, reconciles facility rosters, and maintain accurate records of student applications, assignments, occupancy, cancellations, room vacancies, no-shows, housing charges, account information and other area related to assignments; Process transmittal of payments, charges adjustments, deletions, and refunds to student housing charges in a timely manner; and assist with room placements and reassignments of special interest groups. Must be able to use one or more of the following operating systems: Microsoft Office, Peoplesoft and StarRez to manage student records, databases, and reports. Provide assistance with data reporting, developing and implementing office policies and procedures.
Serves as liaison and assist with representing University Housing at all other university departments and external agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalency and four years of related experience; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.

Advanced ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information;
Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and etiquette;
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously;

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Pay Plan
This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.

You will be required to provide proof of your identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of employment.
