What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media and Outreach Admissions Coordinator position at Florida Barber Academy?
- Coordinates variety of strategic internal and external community events to support company goals at FBA.
- Plans, coordinates and executes community events per week (e.g., information sessions, beauty industry fairs, community involvement, high school events, VA facilities, beauty parlors, barber or skin and nails salons etc.) to help reach our target market and drive measurable traffic into FBA. Events will vary in size ranging from small, medium and large to promote and enhance goodwill for FBA.
- Generates leads for the Admissions team and tracks success metrics. Achieves ROI measures consistently in documented members acquired.
- Strengthens and grows existing strategic alliances and develops new ones in the market on behalf of FBA.
- Promotes community events, primarily using grassroots techniques to maximize participation by relevant students at every community event. Collaborates with management to effectively promote all internal and external events.
- Collaborates with diverse community partners to score value-added plug-in opportunities.
- Orchestrates strategic social activities with the twists needed for current students to refer even more relatives and friends in as new prospects to enrollments.
- Educates colleagues and partners so community presentations and events remain focused on bringing new leads to the Admissions Department at FBA.
- Maintains and nurtures relationships with new and existing key community partners.
- Researches, writes, edits and delivers talking points and/or speeches informing target audiences of the benefits of the FBA education and its offered programs, including the offered services we provide to the public.
- Conducts all activities in ways that are compliant with FBA and policies.
- Works collaboratively with FBA colleagues to achieve business objectives and remains sensitive and responsive to meeting the needs of operations, Admissions goals and Executive leaders.
- In charge of the Admissions Department marketing inventory and supplies.
- Works together with the Education Department and Directors to ensure successful internal and external events promoting the school. Works closely with service providers for internal/external student events (catering, décor, marketing materials, music etc.). Serves as the primary coordinator for event logistics, including registrations, reservations, travel plans, and pre-trip meetings.
- Provides leadership on behalf of Campus Life and Student Engagement for FBA and/or community events sponsored by FBA, or Student Affairs.
- Create and monitor a calendar of events and meetings using established guidelines within the organization and direction of the Directors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service, along with a “can do” service leader disposition.
- Track record of community engagement success, including rock-solid event planning and execution skills are required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task, while staying flexible and organized.
- Established network of local community leaders, officials and businesses preferred.
- Strong computer and analytical skills using CRM and Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software required.
- Must be knowledgeable and have experience in social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Google (Ads), Tik Tok, You- tube and website engagement.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally.
- Spoken and written fluency in English required. Bilingual preferred English and Spanish.
