Position summary:
Responsible for maintaining a safe environment. Able to work on high-speed packaging equipment. Keep your area in optimal conditions to meet the requirements of production, safety, hygiene and good manufacturing practices as outlined by Florida Can Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that electrical and electronic devices are in optimal condition for use.
- Responsible for the "troubleshooting", repair or replacement of equipment.
- Responsible for notifying your immediate supervisor of any electrical eventuality, communication, automatic controls, PLC or other nature related to your area of expertise that may result in business interruption.
- Supports supervisor in assigning the daily routine electronics jobs of the production lines and equipment utilities.
- Supports the supervisor in assigning preventive work in the indicated periods.
- Provide technical assistance to the mechanics.
- Provide preventive maintenance to the equipment as outlined by the maintenance department.
- Maintains a proactive teamwork environment.
- Comply with safety rules and ensure people are complying with safety rules when performing a work in the manufacturing area.
- Comply with GMP and Food Safety Quality System requirements.
- Comply with the policies, procedures and processes established by Florida Can Manufacturing LLC.
- Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- High voltage and low voltage.
- Install and maintain, solenoids, sensors, safety relays, HMI, motor starters, limit switches and prox sensors.
- Maintain and troubleshoot VFD’s and able to read electrical schematics.
- Understanding of the ladder logic.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of downloading and uploading the software.
- Team Player required for this position.
- Working knowledge of motors and sensors are required.
Minimum Education Level and Experience:
Required:
- Technical degree in Electrical and PLC experience.
- 1 year experience of experience with Programmable Logic Controls.
- Low and high voltage required.
- Experience with Studio 5000 software.
- 1 year experience with Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting experience with supporting a range of different conveyors and sortation system.
- 2 years' experience motor controls (variable frequency drives, DC drives and AC)
- Experience with AB RS LOGIX 5000 and PLC components experiencer with SCADA.
Preferred:
- Minimum (3) three years of experience working in a Manufacturing Plant, food and beverage preferred.
- Allen Bradley experience.
- Knowledge of main power and switch gears is a plus.
- Line controls are PLUS.
Physical Requirements
- Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for periods of five hours or more.
- Moving and examining objects at high and low reach and reading for periods of three hours or more.
